Is this video upscaler really free?

Yes. Upscaling runs on your own computer, so it costs us nothing per video. There is no signup, no watermark and no daily limit. Paid cloud processing is optional, for when your computer is too slow or you need longer clips, batches or 4K.

Does my video get uploaded?

Not with the free tool. The file is decoded, upscaled and encoded inside this browser tab using WebGPU. Nothing is sent to a server, which also means private clips stay private.

Can it make a 720p video 1080p?

Yes. Pick 1080p as the output. It works best on footage that is soft because of low resolution. It adds sharpness and clean edges, not details the camera never captured.

Can it fix motion blur?

No. Streaks from a moving camera or subject stay in the result, and no setting here changes that. It also only slightly improves heavily compressed video. It works well on low resolution and mildly soft footage.

Can I upscale MP4, MOV and WebM files?

Yes. It reads MP4, MOV and WebM files up to 10 minutes, which covers most phone, camera and screen recordings. The upscaled video downloads as an MP4 with the original audio track, so it plays almost anywhere.

Why is it slow on my laptop?

AI enhance runs a neural network on every frame. On a recent Mac a 30 second clip takes about 3 minutes; laptops with integrated graphics can take 5 to 10 times longer. The tool shows the expected time for your computer before you start, and cloud processing is there when it is too slow.

Which browsers are supported?

Recent Chrome and Edge on desktop work best because they support WebGPU. The tool checks your device when the page loads and tells you if something is missing.
